We\u2019re thrilled to announce that BlueCat has closed its agreement to acquire LiveAction<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Today marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for both our companies and, most importantly, our customers. Together, we\u2019re uniquely positioned to help organizations modernize and optimize their networks in a way that has never been done before.<\/p>\n

At BlueCat, we\u2019ve always been committed to network modernization, helping our customers ensure that their networks are agile, resilient, and prepared for the future. However, we know that modernization alone isn\u2019t enough. Without optimization, even the most modern change-ready networks<\/a> can suffer from performance, reliability, and security challenges. That\u2019s where LiveAction comes in.<\/p>\n

The power of network observability and performance management<\/h2>\n

LiveAction\u2019s expertise in network observability and performance management is the perfect complement to BlueCat\u2019s deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (known together as DDI<\/a>). With LiveAction, we can expand our view beyond DNS and dive deeper into the health of the network itself. This means our customers will get a full picture of their network\u2014from DNS-level insights to comprehensive traffic flows and performance monitoring across all network protocols. That helps large organizations get ahead of network and security performance issues before they impact applications, customers, and business services.<\/p>\n

One of the most exciting aspects of this acquisition is how LiveAction\u2019s network observability platform provides visibility into network traffic flows and bottlenecks while enabling packet-level capture and analysis. This granular view of network performance is a distinct advantage that sets us apart from other DDI solution providers, and it\u2019s something that will enable our customers to tackle network challenges more proactively and effectively.<\/p>\n

Building on our legacy: From Indeni to LiveAction<\/h2>\n

In 2023, we acquired Indeni (re-branded as BlueCat Infrastructure Assurance<\/a>) because we recognized that organizations needed to assure the health and performance of DDI services and their associated load balancers and firewalls. Acquiring LiveAction extends those capabilities, enabling organizations to isolate the source of response time issues, inform network policy, and optimize network capacity.<\/p>\n

BlueCat\u2019s industry-leading DDI solutions are the source of truth for what is on the network. We help network teams automate and secure the provisioning, orchestration, and configuration of foundational network services. LiveAction\u2019s solutions provide the source of truth for what is happening on the network\u2014empowering network and security teams alike.<\/p>\n
