The company\u2019s technology often leverages unknown vulnerabilities, including zero-day exploits, to access encrypted data stored on mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>Corellium provides virtual, cloud-based Android and iOS devices for application and security testing. Cellebrite <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberscoop.com\/cellebrite-signal-moxie-marlinspike-ufed\/\">has drawn attention<\/a> for its mobile forensic tools being used in spyware campaigns that exploit zero-day vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberscoop.com\/apple-corellium-hacking-case\/\">Corellium was sued by Apple<\/a> in 2019 for copyright infringement related to its product that replicates the company\u2019s iOS operating system.<\/p>\n<p>That legal battle concluded after a U.S. appeals court ruled in Corellium\u2019s favor in May 2023, with the companies reaching <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2023\/12\/15\/apple-and-corellium-reach-settlement\/\">a confidential settlement<\/a> later that year.
