The website for Archetyp Market was seized and its alleged administrator, a 30-year-old German national, was arrested in Barcelona, Spain. <\/p>\n<p>The continent-wide effort \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operation-deepsentinel.com\/\">dubbed Operation Deep Sentinel<\/a> \u2014 follows a <a href=\"https:\/\/cyberscoop.com\/cybercrime-crackdown-operation-endgame-operation-secure\/\">wave of cybercrime crackdowns across the globe<\/a>, marking one of the most high-volume periods of law enforcement action against cybercrime in rapid succession. <\/p>\n<p>National police in Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain and Sweden deployed a combined 300 officers between June 11 and June 13 to target Archetyp Market\u2019s administrator, moderators, vendors and technical infrastructure. Authorities from Europol, Eurojust and the United States assisted with the investigation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad ad--inline_1 \">\n<div class=\"ad__inner\"> <span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Advertisement<\/span> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Archetyp Market attracted more than 600,000 users with over 17,000 listings facilitating high volumes of illicit drug sales, including fentanyl, cocaine, MDMA, amphetamines and synthetic opioids.
